Meet Dr Michaels
Dr. Susun Michaels is a board-certified dermatologist.
She is also board-certified in Mohs Micrographic Surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology. Dr. Michaels integrates evidence-based medicine with compassionate healthcare in a warm environment. She provides patients with effective, customized treatment plans that keep each patient's best interests in mind.
Dr. Michaels has been in private practice since 2011. She received her bachelor's degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and obtained her medical degree at the University of Pikeville in Kentucky. Her internship and residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center (VHMC) brought her to Las Vegas, Nev., where she served as chief resident during residency and afterward served as faculty supervisor of dermatology for the Family Medicine Residency Program at VHMC and a clinical preceptor at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine.
She has published in several peer-reviewed dermatology journals and is a fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology.
Dr. Michaels is married with three daughters, and one fox red labrador retriever. Outside of work, she cherishes her time with family and friends and is an avid runner and tennis player.
